The mechanical strength, flexibility and soft finish offered by Exact plastomers are being exploited in a variety of foam applications.

Because of their exceptional compatibility, Exact plastomers are used as modifiers to improve the mechanical strength and flexibility of polyethylene and polypropylene foams. Both physical and chemical foaming techniques have been used successfully.

Addition of Exact to EVA copolymer foams enhances physical strength while maintaining polarity for adhesion.

Exact plastomers are also used as alternatives to elastomer based foams with the advantage of easy continuous compounding versus complex Banbury mixing.
